Established on April 17, 1923 by request of a group of scientists, the island was declared a Biological Reserve and a research laboratory was built which was the first Tropical Rainforest Reserve in the New World.
An Eco-culture trip. You can appreciate the life style and the rich culture of emberás natives. Also, you can admire the forest of the Chagres National Park, and if we are lucky, the species that lives there like butterflies, turtles and monkeys. We will visit a beautiful waterfall.
