Visas and tourism cards for travellers to Panama
All travellers require a visa who will remain more than 90 days, except the nationals of the following countries:
Germany, Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Spain, Finland, France, Guatemala, Honduras, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Luxembourg, Liechtenstein, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, Singapur, Switzerland, Uruguay and United Kingdom (SAR). The nationals of the Czech Republic, Chad, Cyprus, Dominican Republic, Egypt, Peru, Thailand and the Philippines can enter Panama with the visa only.
The Tourism Card
The tourism card is good for 30 days and generally you can directly acquire it in the airport or at a Panamanian consulate. The tourism card can be obtained in any consulate or embassy for US$5.00. The price depends on your nationality and also where you obtain the tourism card.

This document has to have validity in Panama, so it has to be authenticated by the Consul of Panama of the country that sends it and has to be of recent date. 4) Photos 5) Medical certificates Good Health and the test for AIDS. 6) Test of economic viability in cash, traveler's checks or banking accounts. Please contract a Panamanian embassy or consulate for the necessary documentation for entrance to Panama. Visas for business travellers are also available. These visas are guaranteed by a minimum period of three months and cannot be extended. Generally these visas are granted to artists, musicians, professionals, sportsmen, executive auditors, missionaries or monks among others.
For international commercial flights, leaving Panama it is necessary to pay $20.00 of tax to exit the airport |
