Las Cruces Trail National park is one of the most visited national park in Panama which is situated  about 25 km far from Panama City. This national park is the most significant ecologic corridor with dense forests and protected wildlife animals and birds.

History of Las Cruces Trial National Park goes back to more than 400 years when the road was developed during the Spanish Cononial regime.The newly developed road passes through Las Cruces Trail National Park, which was earlier known as Camino De Cruces National Park. It occupies about 11,000 acres of territories and a beautiful home to indigenous birds and wild animals.

There are more than 500 birds, 100 wild animals, 50 amphibian and 36 fresh water fishes which makes Las Cruces Trail National Park more attractive. Panama Canal along the national park is the best option for exciting water sports such as- boating, rafting, kayaking and so on. Traditional native people and their amazing culture around this national park is an attractive tourist destination which helps to learn typical panama culture with natural surroundings.

This national park encompasses various species of birds such as- wildfowl cuckoo, attractive eagles, and so on. On the other side, wild-animals like roe deer, Titi monkey, white tailed deer are the most exciting and beautiful sightseeing in this national park.

How to get there?

Most of the visitors take taxi from Panama City and ride about 30 minutes along the Panama Canal which is 25 km from Panama City. This beautiful national park is situated in between Colon provinces and Panama City. It is one of the most visited tourist destinations. So, it is not hard to find even for new visitors during the trip to Panama.
